Mutts on Main has set out to help others bridge the gap many owners face in communicating effectively with their dog. At Mutts On Main, our mission is to solve our clients' canine problems by fulfilling their dogs' needs and setting the foundation for an everlasting relationship. We believe that a strong and healthy human canine relationship is based upon Communication, Acknowledgement, Respect & Energy (C.A.R.E.). Within our programs, we will teach and educate owners while rehabilitating their dogs. The relationship we build with our clients is just as important to us as the relationship they are building with their dog. Together, Nikki and Sean will take the time to develop the best training plan to acheive the goals you have with your dog. Whether you are part of our structured dog walking or dog training programs, we are always available to help with whatever your needs may be!
Meet The Team
Sean Wallin & Nikki Lombardi
Nash, Stark, Sadie & Kaya
Being frustrated dog owners at one time, Nikki and Sean are no strangers to the struggles many dog owners face. "It's all about communication and who you are to your dog, what you represent. So often poeple don't realize how their dog is interpretting their body language and energy. Once we learn what we are "saying" we have the ability to mold the relationship we desire," says founder Nikki Lombardi. Having spent countless hours observing and workig with dogs, Nikki and Sean have seen vast environments, relationships, experiences and other factors that can shape a dog behavior. Working hands on with some of the best trainers in the nation has enabled both Sean and Nikki to develop techniques and skills to handle any dog with any problem. Throughout their experiences, they have learned the importance of understanding dogs on an instinctual level and how to physically and psychologically communicate with them. "Dogs will let you know what they need. By ackowledging behaviors, one can determine how to best fulfill their dog's needs," says head trainer Sean Wallin. They continue to expand her education to stay up to date on the most innovative and modern techniques available. Nikki believes "there is no such thing as an evil training tool, just people who are uneducated in using the tools appropriately." Taking all they have learned, Nikki and Sean have specifically designed the programs at Mutts On Main to address the needs of humans, canines and their relationships based upon the foundation of C.A.R.E. (Communication. Acknowledgement. Respect. Energy.).
